Udo Lindenberg has never been more popular than today. But many younger people can't do anything with him because he has been submerged for years. The ARD shows a documentary that is worth seeing, which explains why Udo Lindenberg has become a kind of secret president of Germany.The documentary shows all stages from the earliest beginnings through his breakthrough to his crash and comeback. Lindenberg made his first money at the age of 16 as a drummer in a band of the US Army in Tripoli. Lindenberg made 800 DM a day and thus earned a multiple of his father's as a teenager. From then on it was clear that Lindenberg wanted to put everything on one card and remain a musician.

Less than two months after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Udo Lindenberg's first GDR tour starts in Suhl on January 6, 1990. The cheers in the "Stadthalle der Freundschaft" knew no bounds. 25 years later, he returns.

After eight years Udo Lindenberg started his comeback in early 2016 with the new album "Stärker als die Zeit". After the release of his new album the panic rocker No. 1 went on a big tour, where he - among other locations - also stopped in Leipzig. The live recording “Stärker als die Zeit - Live” documents this gigantic show. The recording from Leipzig is a colorful mix of Udo classics and hits from his new album, including "Cello", "Wozu sind Kriege da", "Der Greis ist heiß", "Ich mach mein Ding" and "Durch die schweren Zeiten". At least as impressive as the tracklist is the list of guest singers who were at Udo's side during the various appearances. The great Udo presents himself and a little bit more at "Kampnagel" in bis hometown at the so called "Waterkant". The concert is taken from a live gig from 03.Juni 2011. A lot of good 'Öl friends made music with Udo and his so called " Panik Orchester" at that day. These are: Jennifer Rostock, Max Herre, Clueso, Stefan Raab, Jan Delay and a few more. Enjoy!
